Thumb Welding Supplies, Inc., based in Cass City Michigan, has been your locally owned and operated welding store since the late 1960's. The Miller's purchased the business in the fall of 2013. In 2019, we opened our second store in Bad Axe Michigan to better service our Huron County customers. In the winter of 2024 we purchased Huron Industrial Supply located in Cass City's industrial park and in August of 2025 we officially merged the 2 companies and moved from our location on Kelly Rd after over 60 years of operation into the Huron Industrial building. We will continue to stock inventory and service the customer base for both businesses. In addition to our two stores, we deliver gases and products throughout the Thumb region on our delivery trucks and now a parts van from the Huron Industrial purchase. We carry a full line of mig, tig, and stick welding products, torching, abrasives, cylinder and bulk gases, personal protection products, bandsaws and parts, industrial parts, hand tools, nuts, bolts, taps and dies, drill bits, machining tools, industrial cleaning products, and a lot more. We also repair all types of welders, plasma cutters, torches, and regulators. We are a certified warranty repair center for Miller Electric, Hobart, Lincoln Electric, Uniweld Products and Profax-Lenco, but we will work on any make or model that we are able to get parts for. We celebrated 10 years under new ownership in August of 2023, where they have continued to run it as a small family business striving to provide the best, down to earth, personal and professional customer service for the small hobby welder up to the large industrial fabrication shops. Currently we employ between 10-15 full time staff members. We are honored to be able to serve you and look forward to serving you for years to come!
